Teaching at NPI

The staff at the NPI are involved in the following teaching exercises:

  1. Clinical supervision and formal teaching of Psychiatric Registrars (trainees in psychiatry) (Contact Prof. Sachdev).
  2. Monthly 'Neuropsychiatry Seminar' for trainees in psychiatry.
  3. Fifth year medical students' lectures in neuropsychiatry.
  4. Clinical teaching of fifth year medical students in organic psychiatry.
  5. NSW Institute of Psychiatry teaching program for trainee psychiatrists. Lectures on Neuropsychiatry and Psychopharmacology.
  6. Participation in teaching programs organised by other centres, both within New South Wales and other states.
  7. Offer training facilities to trainees from overseas countries.
  8. Training of psychology students in clinical neuropsychology from the Universities of New South Wales and Sydney.
  9. Undergraduate and postgraduate research projects in the areas of neuroimaging processing and analysis. Open to the students of computer science/engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering etc. (Contact Dr. Wei Wen)
